ARIZONA RAIN

Wind in my face sand in my hair
I spent all night searching for a reason to be there
An old man told me a story about a man
Said he fought in all the wars to bring peace to the land

Just a dream in 1,000 dreams
Just a lie I’ve heard so many times before
Arizona rain bring me an angel
Open up the sky and let her in

Blinded by the sun so thirsty from the heat
I can see his shadows stretching from me feet
A hand from the sky pointed me the way
I thought I must be dreaming I’d somehow found the place

Peace is an illusion a joker in the deck
I turn my back on the heavens and lie upon the earth
An old man told me a story about a man
He could never get to heaven until there was peace on the
land
